World Ride Development Director 

Job Description

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Create and coordinate other fundraising events and ideas 
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized communication, donor appreciation events, and other engagement opportunities. 
    • Expectation of scheduling between 3-8 cultivation meetings monthly
  • Utilize GiveButter management software to track donor interactions, manage gift processing, and generate donor reports. 
  • Create asks throughout the year to generate donations from donors 
  • Collaborate about marketing and communications to develop messaging and materials that effectively communicate World Ride’s impact and value proposition
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, both in the bike/outdoor industries and beyond. 
  • Create a Sponsorship packet that can be modified for individual sponsorship applications 
  • Maintain relationships with current sponsors and schedule update meetings and emails throughout the year
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with current sponsors for trips and fundraising events 
  • Coordinate with sponsors to host co-marketed trips
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities aligned with World Ride’s programs and initiatives
  • Create a Grant Application packet that can be modified for individual grant applications
  • Maintain records and send updates for any grants received 
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and development, and proactively seek opportunities for professional development. 
  • Uphold World Ride’s inclusivity, integrity, and compassion values in all interactions and activities. 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Exude self-motivation and the ability to work independently to achieve set goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling case for support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in donor management software.
  • Knowledge of and passion for issues related to empowering women through mountain biking. 

 

Position is for an independent contractor with potential to move to full time employment. Position is remote and can be from anywhere in the world. 

  • Pay is $25 hour + bonuses for certain milestones 
  • 10-15 hours per week
